Spain is a country rich with culture and heritage. You will find varied temperature throughout Spain. The central plains are a place of extreme, during summer it is very hot and during winters it is bitter cold with freezing winds. On the other hand the Atlantic coast has a damp and humid summer. The Mediterranean is warm throughout the summer and you can afford to wear just a T-shirt even in winters.

Spain is well connected by buses and rail networks. The selection of the means of transport depends on how fast you want to reach your destination and cost constraints. Locations with shorter distances are quicker to cover by bus, since they are well connected. Renting a car is also an option worth considering since the rental costs are amongst the lowest in Europe. For a longer journey, trains are no doubt a better option and if cost is not an issue, there are lots of well connecting planes that you can board.

It’s always better to book for an accommodation well in advance. So booking online is an assured, quick and easy way to do so. It is recommended not to travel during the national holidays of Spain since everything becomes overpriced and almost the whole town shuts down including all shops and ninety percent of the commercial centers; even 40% of bars and restaurants are closed. The public transportation is also reduced. Museums would be open and many attractions would have an extended opening hour. Although it is a festive period for the Spanish, it may turn out to be a little difficult and expensive for the tourists traveling during the festivities. Sunday is also such a day when most of the town is closed.

You can plan to spend New Years Eve in Spain and adopt the tradition of Spanish for a day. The Spanish “good luck” tradition is that as the clock strikes 12 at midnight, with every strike you must eat a grape. So if you want to follow this tradition while spending you beautiful New Years in one of the most beautiful country, you must buy your grapes ahead of time since they tend to run out before the 31st. What ever you do one thing is for sure that your holiday in Spain is one vacation that you will never forget.
