This Diet Is Not For Me

If you have been on a diet for any amount of time and you have seen no results, its time to drop that diet like a bad habit. If you want to see results and you’re not, why stay on that diet, try something new.

A good diet is meant to help you lose weight and become healthier. Yet many diets only allow you to eat the foods that are meant specifically for those diets. Why torture yourself with food that has no taste? There are diets out there that allow you to eat the way you always have, just smaller portions of it.

Don’t be succumbed to diets that allow you to eat only fruit, or drink only water or juice. While these are items are good for you, they don’t have all the nutrients your body needs to survive. The last thing you need to do is put your body in starvation mode, this will only help you gain more weight and make it harder for you to lose in the end.

A good balanced diet starts with the right food and beverages. Food is important because it does have the nutrients your body needs to help you feel energized and want to lose the weight. If you are a person who would rather drink carbonated drinks, you should slow down on them and drink more water. Carbonated drinks have sugars or artificial sweeteners that are worse for the body than imaginable.

The best way to lose the weight is to count your calories. Many diets are based a 2000 calorie a day intake. Try to stick to that as it will help you in the long run. More calories are ok when done in moderation. Try not to have an extra large soda with a big bag of chips as a snack during the day. This will take most of your calories in one fail swoop if you do so.

Lastly, if you have tried diet after diet and none of them have worked, it may be time to give up on dieting. Try something new and more exciting, like exercising. Most of all have fun in whatever you decide to do and don’t give up either. If you start to feel depressed about something not working, try something new. Change of pace will help you feel motivated to try something new.
