Use file names and URL's that are not overly lengthy, which will let search engines crawl your site more frequently 5. Use Page Titles and Title Tags...6-10 keywords that are relevant to be found throughout the page 6. Use phrases such as "Search on eBay now!" rather than "Click Here! " to increase the effectiveness of your links 7. To guide surfers that are 'lost', make good use of error pages. 8. Make sure the search engines know you exist by submitting to them manually 9. Try to get similar websites to link to your website 10. Learn more about online marketing by analyzing the competition. Things NOT to do: 1. Use frames. They are many times unrecognizable by search engine crawlers and hard to index. 2. Use invisible/hidden text. NEVER do this, search engines can and will hurt your rankings and effectiveness 3. Use multiple drop-down menus or search box navigation boxes...they can not be followed by crawlers.
